APM Automotive to produce, market parts in Myanmar


APM Automotive Holdings Bhd plans to build a new plant in Bago, Myanmar, to manufacture and market automotive parts and modules.The initial outlay of APM Group for the construction of manufacturing plant, purchase of machineries and equipment for the first three years is estimated at US$9 million.

Nissan, Tan Chong to assemble vehicles in Myanmar

Nissan Motor Co. will start manufacturing its Sunny model in Myanmar in 2015 under partnership with Tan Chong Group. The 80-acre state-of-the-art industrial complex will be the country's largest automobile manufacturing site, with the capacity to produce over 10,000 units per year at full production.

Myanmar approves new foreign investments in manufacturing sector

Businesses from Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and the United Kingdom won the Myanmar Investment Commission's (MIC) approval to set up garment factories, automobile assembly plants, and manufacturing for construction materials.
